Sedona Hotel Yangon announced on May 20th 2015 that the hotel is plan- ning to open its newly built wing later this year. Naming the wing “Inya Wing”, this new tower contains additional 431 guest rooms and suites, a lobby, retail gallery, fitness centre, all-day restaurant, a new lux- ury spa and an executive lounge for hotel’s business and leisure guests. This new Inya Wing was developed by architecture of Sin- gapore’s Forum Architects and interior designed by HBA. The new building is inspired by Myanmar traditional culture dominating themes of traditional umbrella and major use of red and gold colour palette from Bud- dhist influences.
Sedona Hotels and suites are managed under Keppel Land Hospitality Management and the name Sedona deriving from White Dendrobium Sedona Orchid which was bred for the first time at Singapore Botanic Gardens in 1984 and fully bloomed at the launching of Sedona Hotels in 1994. Keppel Land Hospitality Management is a wholly-owned subsidiary under Keppel Land, the property arm of the Keppel Group headquartered in Singapore. The Group is a multinational conglomerate with major businesses in offshore and marine, infra- structure and property.
