Myanmar Jardine Schindler has inaugurated its new Training Centre in Yangon on October 13. This Training Centre will be the very first elevator and escalator professional training facility in Myanmar which dedicated to enable Schindler technicians and local contractors to continuously improve their technical skills and the understanding of the company’s Safety and Quality standards to deliver topclass service for the local community in Myanmar. It includes two buildings with floor areas of over 7,000 square feet, two elevator training shafts, one escalator, two simulators, a product showroom and five training classrooms.
The facility is of critical importance for the company to “attract and retain the best people, our future leaders and functional experts”, René Kunz, Jardine Schindler Group Technical and Field Support Director commented. “The training centre demonstrates Schindler’s long-term commitment to safety and quality to deliver outstanding customer service through professionally trained technicians. This will be the key element in driving sustainable growth in Myanmar,” said Wai Sam Wong, Managing Director of Myanmar Jardine Schindler. This Training Center is the sixth Training Centre of Jardine Schindler Group in the South East Asia region since the first facility was established in Vietnam in 2016.
