Sedona Hosted Penang Food Festival

Sedona Hotel Yangon brought its series of the best dining festivals and experiences in town by hosting the Best of Penang Food Festival at D’Cuisine restaurant starting from October 5 to October 31.

Penang is widely regarded as the birthplace of Malaysian street food and the country’s food paradise with dishes created using an explosive fusion of Chinese, Malay and Indian flavors. Penang cuisine reflects the multicultural society of Penang, Malaysia and many dishes are sold at roadside stalls, known as “hawker food”. The dishes served as buffet lunch or dinner of authentic cuisine from Penang, including world– famous specialities such as Char Kway Teow, Penang Laksa, Hokkien Mee, Lor Bak, Oyster Omelette, Sotong Kangkong, Ice Kacang and Ban Chang Kueh.

Sedona Hotel Yangon’s Executive Chef, Edmund Ng, said, “I was excited to host the eight guest chefs from Penang. I can personally share that Penang food is genuinely delicious. Hosting our special guest chefs from Penang here in Sedona Hotel Yangon means a lot to me as these are some of the best hawkers from the state who run highly-popular food stalls which serve authentic food that everyone enjoys.”
