The very frst entry of Pizza Hut, the World’s No.1 Pizza Chain, into Myanmar was celebrated with the opening of Myanmar’s frst Pizza Hut Restaurant in Yangon on November 24, 2015. This event was attended by Win Win Thint, Managing Director of City Mart Holding, Henry Yip, CEO of Jardine Restaurant Group, Vipul Chawla, Managing Director of Pizza Hut Restaurants Asia Pte Ltd,and other special guests who were invited to mark the event. Pizza Hut Myanmar is a joint venture between City Mart Holding, leading retailer in Myanmar with over 100 retail outlets of different formats, and Jardine City Mart Restaurant Group. Jardin City Mark Restaurant Group has been granted the franchise rights for Pizza Hut in the Myanmar by Pizza Hut Restaurants Asia Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Yum! Brands. It is one of the leading restaurant groups in the region with over 680 Pizza hut and KFC restaurants across Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

Pizza Hut Myanmar is convinced that it will beneft the locals as in a number of ways; the company has already provided over 100 job opportunities and will also provide over 500 job opportunities within next three years. We employed 97% of the workforce with local people and majority of our raw materials and ingredients are sourced locally. We are also investing deeply in our professional training and career development systems for our staffs to ensure effective transfer of global best practices, processes and knowledge to the local staffs in order to grow local team as Pizza Hut Myanmar develops in the country. This is only the beginning of Pizza Hut Myanmar’s journey and we also have a plan to open 15 to 20 branches across the country in coming 5 years or more years”.
Pizza Hut Myanmar is also actively looking for a partner to corporate with educational and vocational training courses to support local people as charities and has already talked with a number of organizations. First Pizza Hut Myanmar restaurant is located in Golden Valley at the junction of Dhamazedi Street and Golden Valley road, within the market place compound operated by City Mart Market Place. It is opened daily from 10 am to 10pm
