The summit was held at the Sedona Hotel on March 9. The event, a first ever, represented a key part of Bloomberg’s live agenda to drive meaningful conversations around the business and investment landscapes across Asia’s emerging economies.
Haslinda Amin, Southeast Asia Cor respondent for Bloomberg Television, gave the opening speech of the summit. H.E Andrew Patrick, British Ambassador to Myanmar, H.E. Hong Liang, PR China Ambassador to Myanmar; Win Win Tint, Managing Director of City Mart Holdings; Zaw Zaw, Executive Chairman of Max Myanmar; Kesara Manchusree, President of The Stock Exchange of Thailand; Htet Tay Za, Managing Director at AGD Bank; and Wouter Van Wersch, President & CEO of GE, ASEAN as well as key executives from top regional as well as global institutions attended the event.
The aim of the BIM summit was to convene investors, corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, advisors and decision makers from Myanmar and the region seek to filter out noise and unlock the growth potential Myanmar has to offer.
