Dr. Thant Myint-U, chairman of Yangon Heritage Trust, was shocked at how close some of the planned twelve story buildings were to the Shwedagon, according to his facebook post on 6th February.
He also recommended that it is a brave and commendable decision and a step forward for proper urban planning in the post.
