In 2022, more than two million passengers and 33,000 flights passed through Yangon International Airport. At the height of Covid and in the the year of demonstration against the new government, the Airport managed to serve just over 700,000 passengers and 20,000 flights, in 2021.
The stats are also on the uptrend with number of passengers doubling and flights increasing by 20% comparing the first and the last month of 2022.
