Telenor Myanmar has just signed a collaboration agreement with Hmawbi Technological University. According to this agreement, Telenor will provide a series of career talks, industry visits, and internship program for the university students.
The aim is to help students strengthen knowledge on their fields of study and prepare them to be industry-ready talents. Career talks will cover topics related to career and learning and development opportunities in Telenor. Industry visit will allow the students to personally experience a real workplace. More than 400 students participated in the first talk, held as part of the agreement after the signing ceremony. At the talk, Telenor’s experts presented learning and development opportunities available at the company, tips to enhance employability and importance of sustainability in doing business in Myanmar.
Telenor is continuously providing empowerment programmes for the youths in Myanmar in order to help the youths to be qualified for their careers and the collaboration agreement with the universities is part of the empowerment. Telenor has already signed collaboration agreements with Thanlyin Technology University (TTU) in February and National Management Degree College (NMDC) in June.
Telenor operates the Myanmar’s mobile data network with about 8,000 sites and close to 100,000 points-ofsale, serving 19 million customers nationwide.
