Swiss Ambassador to Myanmar
How did you end up being an Ambassador in Myanmar?
I applied for the job and went through a formal procedure, including an interview. At the end of this process, the Swiss government appointed me Ambassador to Myanmar. Myanmar was my favorite among the applications I submitted.
How was it different compared to your previous positions?
It is for the first time that I am representing my country as Ambassador abroad. Previously, I worked in Laos as Regional Director for the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) with responsibility for our development programs in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. SDC is an entity within the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before I was sent to Laos, I worked as diplomatic advisor to the Swiss President.
