The Strand Restaurant and Executive Chef Christian Martena were chosen to participate in Goût de France /Good France event, organized for the third consecutive year by French Chef Alain Ducasse and French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development.
Chefs from all over the world cooked a dinner to pay tribute to the excellence of French cuisine and its capacity to innovate and unite people around the common values of sharing and enjoyment in a planet-friendly and healthy way. Gout de France brought together over 2,000 chefs on five continents to celebrate French Gastronomy. For the event, Chef Christian Martena had prepared a special menu with wine pairing.
“We are proud to be one of the restaurants to participate in this special event, I hope this event will make Myanmar people familiar with French lifestyle and regional products. We are also glad to have a chance to donate 5 per cent of our sales to My Red Elephant association for their projects.” said Olivier Trinquand, Vice President of The Strand Hotel and Cruise.
