Stephen Twining, tenth generation member of the famous British tea family, is in Yangon for Twinings’ 310th anniversary and the official launch of Twinings tea in Myanmar. Stephen said that it makes “absolute sense” concerning Twinings’ entry to Myanmar as tea is well-loved in Myanmar.

Twining is now available in Myanmar through a partnership between AB Food & Beverages, the company behind Twinings, and Premium Distribution Co. Ltd. Twinings is sold at City Mart supermarkets and gourmet stores in major cities and destinations including Yangon, Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, Bagan, Taunggyi, Inle, Ngapali and Mawlamyaing. Stephen, together with Charles Arthur Smith, brand ambassador for Twinings in South East Asia, led an interactive tea-tasting session and shared the secret to making and enjoying the perfect cup of tea.
