The Structural Topping out Ceremony of M Tower

M o t t a m a H o l d i n g s h e l d “The Structural Topping out Ceremony” of M Tower in its compound located on Pyay Road on October 30. M Tower is the first high rise steel structure building in Myanmar. The ceremony was followed by steel structure technical knowledge sharing event held in Novotel Yangon.

M Tower, a 26-storey building was built in accordance with international office tower 5A level. It has 265 units capacity for car parking and air-con, lighting and IT including safety system are installed under the building central control system. High-speed elevators are installed sufficiently and façade lighting which decorates at night is installed outside of the whole building. The structure will be produced by Min Dhama Steel Structure Company (MDSS), a subsidiary of Mottama Holdings and installed using Japanese technology. The estimated completion  time of M Tower is 2020 and more than total eight thousand tons of steel will be used to build. “Fabrication and installation is the most challenging part in building such design. Since the beginning stage of the design process, we consider the fact that the building is built with steel structure and it has to be prominent,” said Yan Ho.

We believe that building an international standard high rise building in Hledan Junction which is the most central, high traffic and most crowded place in Yangon is such an honor and proud event for us as well as it will inspire a new option for future buildings in Myanmar. Besides, we hope that it will become a prominent landmark in Yangon,” he added.
