The Epstein Saga

If you are still asking who is Jeffrey Epstein (JE) now, you have either woken up from a 3 month long coma or you just landed onto earth from another planet. To cut it short, JE is Trump’s kryptonite, every time he had a QnA with reporters, he dig himself deeper and deeper into an uncharted territory of pedophilia and paying to have sex with minors.
Why Epstein why now?
Jeffrey Epstein, the rich sex offender, has been dead for six years. But we’re still talking about him. Why? With the world in abundance of conspiracy theories, it’s hard to tell
what’s real.
His story has captivated the imagination of conspiracy theorists bent on proving that the government is corrupt -that elite America is a cabal of villainous pedophiles covering for one another. Those notions collided with real news in recent weeks, when the government released a longpromised memo about Epstein’s case. The Justice Department said it had nothing new to report.
Another still alive alleged sex offender, Sean “Diddy” Combs too, was found not guilty of the most serious charges in his recent trial: racketeering conspiracy and sex
trafficking.
Americans aren’t buying it. Most (69%) believe that the government is concealing information, including about who else may have been involved in his abuse of young girls,
according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll. The fallout has threatened to fracture Trump’s MAGA base and even his ardent supporters such as MTG, Lauren Bobert and Q Anon are turning against him, for the president failure to release JE files as previously promised.
Why are Americans so fixated on this?
Epstein was a financier who paid teenage girls to perform sex acts. He used his onetime girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell to recruit and manage his victims. He had a wide circle of influential friends and acquaintances, including Bill Clinton and Trump.
Epstein was in legal trouble for decades: In 2005, police in Palm Beach, Fla., investigated him after the parents of a 14-year-old girl said she was molested at his mansion. In
2008, his lawyers finalised a plea deal that helped conceal the full accusations against him. But his story became major national news in 2019, when federal agents arrested him.
He died in a jail cell while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges; a medical examiner concluded that he hanged himself. His story had all the elements for a conspiracy: He was a wealthy, politically connected man who had seemingly gotten away with horrific crimes for years and died suddenly while under government watch.
Why is he back in the news?
This may be a crisis of Trump’s own making. For years, Trump promised to reveal previously unknown details of the investigation into Epstein. And now He didn’t. The Justice Department released a memo a few weeks ago that said the investigation had concluded, and that its findings weren’t new. The government said there was no “client list” full of famous Epstein associates.
It also said he hadn’t been murdered in jail, despite the attorney general’s earlier hints that the government might disclose details on those topics. When Trump supporters revolted, the president told the Justice Department to release witness testimony gathered during Epstein’s 2019 prosecution. They were not appeased.
Why do people believe there’s
more?
Trump and Epstein were best friends. They knew each other and socialised together for a decade. Their relationship seems to have ended around 2004 after both of them bid for a property in Florida. Trump recently said their relationship turned sour after JE tried to poached one underage masseuse from his spa. Trump has faced dozens of sexual misconduct allegations over the years, but there is no evidence that connected any of those to Epstein.
Epstein got rich from powerful friends: How did he make so much money, and what did he do for the people who paid him? Billionaires like Leon Black, a private equity boss, gave him tens of millions of dollars.
There’s then this video. The government is holding video evidence collected by investigators, including footage from inside the prison. Pam Bondi, the attorney general, has said that these don’t include any depictions of crimes by Epstein or his friends and that they were clips Epstein downloaded. Still, she said that she doesn’t want to release most of the videos because they document child sexual abuse.
There was an actual coverup: The Miami Herald found in 2018 that incriminating evidence never became public as a result of Epstein’s 2008 plea deal. The federal prosecutor who arranged the deal eventually became Trump’s labor secretary. After the Herald reports, conspiracy theories proliferated.
Some people believe that Epstein didn’t die by suicide; that either Presidents Clinton or Trump had Epstein killed in jail; that he was blackmailing the rich and famous; and that he was an asset of a foreign intelligence agency. More evidences are likely to come out including photos, videos and witness accounts, that could point to Trump being birds of the same feather with Epstein.
Absolute tower
President with its near absolute power with conservative majorities in Supreme Court, Senate and House of Representatives is going all the way to distract and divert everyone’s attention from Epstein to anything but JE.
But the whole world press is not buying it. Even in Scotland recently, when Trump opened his new golf course, he got exasperated by reporters’ incessant questions on Epstein. And his excuses such as democrats planting the Epstein file to Obama being a traitor to the case being a fraud all have fallen into deaf ears. Most of his supporters
and the liberals just all dump these excuses into the bag full of lies by Trump.
