Confederation of India Industry (CII) in association with Embassy of India, Yangon with support of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, organized the 4th Enterprise India Show, the exclusive exhibition of Indian Products and services at Tatmadaw Hall, Yangon, Myanmar from 29 October – 1 November 2015.
The 4th Enterprise India Show showcased ‘Brand India” and provided a platform and impetus for business networking, Joint Ventures, technology transfers, marketing arrangements, people-to-people interaction and cultural exchanges aimed at contributing to Myanmar’s economic opening and development and strengthening our bilateral relations.
CII is a non-government, industry-led and industry-managed organization, playing a proactive role in India´s development process. Founded in 1895, India’s premier business association has over 7900 members, from the private as well as public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, and an indirect membership of over 200,000 enterprises from around 240 national and regional sectoral industry bodies.
The Key Highlights of this exhibitions was business meetings and networking, interaction with buyers and key stakeholders, business and trade delegations and etc. The exhibition will have the participation of 60+ companies from varied sectors. Companies from across a range of sectors including agricultural machinery, automobiles, Electronics/electricals, consumer durables, infrastructure, petroleum & natural gas, power & energy, services, textiles and garments in many of which India has a unique capacity to help raise Myanmar’s domestic capabilities are participating at the event. A list of participating companies is attached. Enormous economic, political and social transformations have been sweeping through Myanmar in recent times. Change is happening at a rapid pace in Myanmar. The significant developments in Myanmar’s economic and political landscape have resulted in optimism from the global business community providing immense opportunities for businesses looking to invest in Myanmar. India and Myanmar historically enjoy cordial relations and the geographical proximity has facilitated the long relations across the land and sea routes.
