Singapore Tourism Board (STB) organized the Singapore-Myanmar Incentive Forum (SMIF) on July 13 at Pan Pacific Yangon. This was the second year they were organizing the forum and this year’s theme was “Transforming Your Incentive Travel Experience”. The event included a panel discussion which covered an overview of incentive tourism in Myanmar, role of incentive travel in employee engagement and global trends. There was an interactive teambuilding activity demonstration at the event centred around cooking by Cookyn Inc.
In panel discussion, Janet Tan-Collis, President, Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (SACEOS) and CEO, East West Planners, Pyae Phyo Aung, HR Manager of Grand Royal Group, Tin Tun Kyaw, Corporate Operating Officer of M9, and Hein Thant, Business Development Director of Croton Travel and Tour included as panelists and as moderator, Phyoe Wai Yar Zar, Managing Director of Diethelm Travel participated in this forum. The discussion topics were covered with incentive tour on rise as part of corporate culture building, growth in Myanmar’s meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions (MICE) market and Singapore’s secrets of being on top list of incentive destinations. In addition, John Gregory Conceicao, Executive Director, International Relations and Market Planning and Oceania from STB, shared about Singapore’s top MICE offerings including opportunities for incentive travel.
