Myanmar Airways International (MAI) and Sunway Medical Centre (SMC), one of the largest advanced private hospitals in Malaysia, will develop cooperation in health services. MAI and SMC signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on June 23 to promote the medical tourism sector and provide their visitors with more options for healthcare.
Sunway Medical’s Wellness Centre will offer special discounts on health treatments, and guests of Sunway using MAI Airlines will receive a 10% discount on Business and Economy classes flight tickets, 10 kg of extra baggage allowance, and a special discount on the upgrade to Business Class based on seat availability.
MAI will increase direct flights between Yangon and Kuala Lumpur up to 11 times a week starting on July 15, and all MAI flights will be allowed to carry an extra kg of luggage and will be provided with special discounted rates for changing travel dates to make travel planning more convenient for passengers going to foreign countries for medical treatment.
