Wyndham enters Myanmar Market by A Project

The US-based Wyndham Worldwide Hotel Group plans to develop the five-star Wyndham Grand Yangon Royal Lake Hotel Project on the southern edge of Yangon Kandawgyi Lake, according to OCTA Finance’s report. It is a US$ 157 million mixed-use project and being developed by the company named Asia Myanmar Shining Star. Wyndham will take over operational management of the hotel and its serviced apartments. Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, incorporated on May 30, 2003, is a hospitality service and products provider company.

OCK boost itself with Myanmar Telecom Market

OCK Group Berhad, a Malaysia-based provider of telecommunication services, has united with Myanmar Integrated Networks (MIN) named MIN-OCK Infrastructure Pte Ltd to boost its presence with Myanmar’s fastest growing telecommunication network markets. MIN-OCK targets to explore opportunities in the provision of tower facilities, utilities and communication network for mo- bile and broadband operators, the company said. The group managing director Sam Ooi said that they are optimistic about the future of the group and will continue to strategize and execute their expansions plans in order to continue with their business growth momentum.

DusitD2 brand is taken to Myanmar

A Bangkok-based hotel and resort company, Dusit International announces its first-ever dusitD2 project in Myanmar by the signing of a Hotel Management Agreement (HMA) with real estate developer, Myanmar JP Asset Co. Ltd, the company said. It will offer 300 units including a specialty dining outlet, bar, business lounge and recreational facilities. The building has been designed by Iida Architect Studio (Japan) and the construction management will be handled by Kokusai Land (Vietnam) Ltd. Scheduled for a 2017 opening date, the dusitD2 Residence Yangon is ideally situated between the City center and Yangon International Airport. Today, Dusit International has over 22 hotel properties located in Thailand and overseas with plans to open more in the future.

Samsung to launch its latest laundry machine in Myanmar

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd will introduce its new line up laundry, ActivDual Wash at Junction Square in Yangon from 3rd to 7th March, including its lucky draw program for audience. The Acti- vDual Wash (Activ) which is regarded as Best of CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2015 includes a built-in sink with water jet and gentle scrubbing surface, providing a separate space to pre-treat tough stains, like heavily sports uniforms and sweaters. Samsung announce that the Activ can handle the entire wash process in the laundry unit and save a considerable amount of effort. Samsung is a South Korean multinational conglomerate company and it has been able to achieve the largest market share of nearly 31% in the global smartphone segment in 2013, according to Wikipedia.
