Telenor Myanmar has appointed Hans Martin Hoegh Henrichsen as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer (CCAO) on January 15. Hans Martin will start in his new role on May 1, 2018. He succeeds Gunnar Bertelsen who has been with Telenor Myanmar since the company entered Myanmar in 2013.
Currently, Hans Martin working as Chief Representative Officer for Telenor in Bangladesh and a member of the Board of Directors of Grameenphone, the largest mobile operator in Bangladesh. Myanmar is not foreign to Hans Martin. In his role as Vice President of Telenor Group’s Portfolio Development team, he was one of Telenor’s first persons to explore mobile opportunities in Myanmar and thereafter central in Telenor’s successful bid for a license. From 2013 to 2014, he was also Senior Vice President for Business Sustainability in Telenor Myanmar, responsible for building up the sustainability function of the company in the start-up phase.
Before joining Telenor, Hans Martin held the positions as senior advisor for the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) and Investment Officer for the Asian Development Bank (ADB). He joined Telenor in 2000 and has vast experience from different international positions in Telenor Group.
