Trading Start in YSX

March 25 – First Myanmar Investment (FMI) Company has begun trading in the Yangon Stock Exchange (YSX). FMI become the first company among the shortlisted six companies to become the first ever listed company in Myanmar. Initially, YSX will open for trading during the morning only. The six companies shortlisted were First Myanmar Investment Company, First Private Bank, Great Hor Kham Public Company, Myanmar Agribusiness Public Corporation (MAPC), Myanmar Citizens Bank and Myanmar Thilawa SEZ Holdings Public Company..

The securities companies of KBZ Stiriling Coleman Securities, Myanmar Securities Exchange Center, AYA Trust Securities, CB Securities and KTZRH Securities are the companies responsible for the trading of shares of those listed companies on the YSX. The Yangon Stock Exchange is a joint venture between the state-owned Myanmar Economic Bank, which holds a controlling share of 51 percent, the Daiwa Institute of Research, which holds 30.25 percent and the Japan Exchange Group which holds 18.75 percent.
