The Yangon Directory has been the leading source of suppliers since the mid-1990s. Often referred to as “that big thick book” the publisher MMRD has started the distribution of the 2016 edition which can now be referred to as the “two thick books”! 135,000 sets of the new two-volume Yangon directory will be distributed throughout Yangon in the coming weeks.
In addition to the printed version of the directory, the Yangon Directory is available online. Online usage is growing rapidly. The mobile app completes a comprehensive range of services from which the consumer can find suppliers for all categories of business. MMRD has also recently launched a programme to offer a range of packages to build and maintain websites for businesses. MMRD Managing Director, Moe Kyaw stated: “The enormous demand from advertisers to be included in the next edition has required that we move to two volumes of the Yangon Directory. Not only do we have more advertisements but also more business listings than ever before. The directory has become bigger but also better!”
Moe Kyaw continued “We are determined to maintain our strong position in the market, bringing buyers and sellers together through whichever medium, digital or print, is most convenient.”
