The Strand Cruise, soon-to-be launched river cruise, announced a promotion for its maiden voyages on November 3, 2015. The cruise will offer a special rate for the frst two voyages between Bagan and Mandalay for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, departing on the 22nd and the 29th of December. This exclusive offer also comprises local fights from Yangon to Bagan and Mandalay to Yangon. The two festive maiden voyages will follow The Strand Cruise’s regular four-night itinerary on the Ayeyarwady River between Bagan and Mandalay. It will also present its 54 guests with added surprises and inclusive experiences, such as a chance to attend its magical Christmas dinner or its exciting new Year’s Eve Party. In addition, the frst ten cabins booked on these two December sailings will receive a complimentary hot air balloon ride over the ancient temple sites of Bagan.
The special rates for the two Strand Cruise’s four-night maiden voyages in December are from US$3,592 per person and for each passenger making a booking, their companion sharing the same cabin will travel on a complimentary basis. Furthermore, there is a special launch offer available to the public for all sailings from January to March 2016 of 20% off the high season rate. The Strand Cruise also revealed details of its upcoming scheduled itineraries and experiences. Following its two maiden voyages, the ship will commence its regular schedule on 4 January 2016 offering three-night sailings from Mandalay to Bagan departing every Friday and four-night sailings between Bagan and Mandalay departing every Monday.
