On March 24, SeDAM (Social Enterprise Development Association Myanmar) organized Active Citizens National Forum (ACNF) 2018 in Pan Pacific Hotel with the support of British Embassy Yangon and Active Citizens Program of British Council Myanmar. SeDAM hosted the first time Active Citizens National Forum as the activities by means of Active Citizens approach are applied by the Social Enterprises for the sake of sustainability.
In ACNF 2018, Professor Aung Tun Thet, the advisor of SeDAM gave the speech on the role of active citizens and the Social Enterprise Entrepreneurs. Ei Pwint Rhi Zen (Third Story Project), Dr. Cho Cho Mar Kyaw (FXB Myanmar), Phyu Ei Thein (Sunflowers Organic Dye Weaving Studio) and Dr. Swam Saung Oo (Trust Oo M-health Enterprise) gave sharings and discussions on development of social enterprises, innovation, challenges, achievements and the social impact. Not only the discussions on the acitivities and social impact of Active Citizens, but also different Social Enterprises present and displayed their products and services on the day of ACNF 2018.
