Sampath Bank to Help Sri Lankan Businesses to Invest in Myanmar

Sampath Bank held an informative seminar on doing business in Myanmar for Sri Lankan Businesses to invest in Myanmar at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo.

Nanda Fernando, Managing Director of Sampath Bank presented insights of making investments in Myanmar to the guests including over 75 senior representatives of leading Sri Lankan Enterprises and Han Thu, Ambassador of Myanmar to Sri Lankan.

At the event, a panel discussion was held on educating and raising market awareness about the Myanmar market. Sampath Bank opened a representative office in Myanmar at October 2015 and it is making an ongoing efforts to promote investments in Myanmar by Sri Lankan businesses.

The Bank’s Foreign Currency Banking Unit (FCBU) provides financing for those businesses and financial services to other local and international enterprises. Sampath Bank’s representative office gives advises to existing and potential Sri Lankan investors in Myanmar, offering assistance with regulatory and legal clearances, from incorporation to growing the business.
