A symposium on cardiovascular treatment was held by Best Health Myanmar Group and Sakura Hospital at Novotel Hotel Yangon on 7th March. At the symposium, the opening speech was made by CEO of Sakura hospital, Dr. U Htin Paw.
Nine modern treatments – Coronary Angio- gram, Angioplasty, Stent, Coronary Athrectomy for Complex Lesions, Peripheral Angiogram, Angoplasty, Athrectomy and stents for Severe Peripheral Vascular Disease, Ca- rotid Stents for Severe Carotid Stenosis, Permanent Pacemaker Implantation, Treadmill Stress Test, Treadmill Echocardiography for Cardiac Stress Test and vascular Ultrasound are available in Sakura hospital from March. Varicose veins radio frequency ablation and sclerotherapy and ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator) Bi-Ventricular Pace- maker Implantation will start servicing from the first week of May,while Rotablator for complex calcified coronary disease and ASD Closure Device can be treated from the first week of August.
Getting treatment by American doctors in Myanmar could reduce medical expenses. Dr. Henry C Yee @ Dr. Khin Maung Myint, President of Long Life Cardiac Center in USA, did a presentation about Advance of heart rhythm device, Defibrillator, Bi-ven- tricular pacemaker state of the art, treat- ment for varicose veins while the topic of advance in coronary and peripheral inter- vention was discussed by Dr. Ming Wei Liu, Professor of Medicine, University of Southern California.
