Launched in the first quarter of 2016, innovative startup of app-based taxi service provider Oway Ride is accelerating its growth and providing GPStech-based business and transport solutions to short distance travelers in Yangon and Mandalay regions.
The app with its Android and iOS version now has approximately 80,000 registered users on its platform. Customers can easily order a taxi at a tap of their finger and an Oway Ride taxi within the vicinity reaches in less than 10 minutes.
The app also has features for Pickup now, Pick-up later with advance booking and its 24/7 Call center dispatch system. A significant highlight of Oway Ride is its auto issuance of E-receipt upon the completion of a trip.
Using Oway Ride means, “Cost saving, energy, time, and comfort due to its ride sharing capability, convenience and standard security features such as seatbelt and air conditioning” said Wendy Chomar, a frequent corporate Oway rider who works at Cashcow Myanmar.
Oway Ride also offers an option for both normal and corporate user. Normal users pay on cash and corporate riders use the service on credit or cashless mode known as B2B support system. In a country where street riders have to hail taxis on the road and negotiate on price with the drivers, Oway Ride App brings the most “efficient mode of connectivity between passengers and drivers, helps reach destination, and provides trip data in real time.” said Kyaw Min Swe senior director for strategy at Oway Ride.
