Myanmar state-owned airline, MNA, held launching ceremony of Yangon – Chiang Mai route and Yangon – Gaya route at its head office.
Yangon – Chiang Mai route is due to start on November 4. The flight schedule is twice a week on Mondays and Fridays with ATR 72-600 aircraft. Yangon – Gaya flight has already kicked off on October 8. For October, Yangon – Gaya flight will only be on Saturdays but the airline has plans to fly on Tuesdays in November, December and January. MNA will run a total of 48 charter flight routes for this pilgrim season.
MNA also introduced “MNA club”, a customer loyalty program (frequent flyer program). The motto of MNA club is “The More You Fly, The More You Earn”. All passengers are welcome to join MNA club through the MNA website or office locations. No membership fee is collected and it will take only a few minutes to join. With membership in club, you will get to earn reward miles as you travel to most of the airline destinations. The reward miles can be used to get free tickets, extra baggage allowance, upgrades and many other benefits.
MNA had started Yangon – Singapore morning flight in 2015. As a 30-day visa exemption between Singapore and Myanmar will start on December 1, MNA is planning to add an extra evening flight to Yangon – Singapore route on weekdays in December. Myanmar National Airlines was launched in 1948 and now has 28 domestic and 5 international routes.
