Myanmar Gains Easier Access to Thailand Privilege Card Program

The Thailand Privilege Card Company Limited (TPC) recently appointed Nice Fare Services, a Myanmar travel agency and tour operator, as their in-country authorized general sales and services agent. The move is expected to grow card membership within Myanmar. The contract is valid until late February 2018.

TPC is the world’s first program that allows cardholders a lifetime of privileges at golf courses, spas, hotels, clubs, and medical facilities throughout Thailand. Their collaboration with Nice Fare Services will allow them access to highend Myanmar tourists, businessmen, and investors interested in Thailand. The contract was signed at the grand launch event for the Thailand Elite Card on 10 June at The Sedona Hotel Yangon. Around 300 people attended, including H.E. Pisanu Suvanajata, Thailand’s Ambassador to Myanmar, Somrak Kumputch, Deputy Governor for Administration, Tourism Authority of Thailand and Pruet Boobphakam,President of the Thailand Privilege Card.

Myanmar arrivals to Thailand in 2015 totalled approximately 270,000, an increase of 39 percent from 2014.
