Myanmar Business Students Get a Chance to Interact with Industry Leaders

A “Youth Connect Seminar” was held by Dagon University Law Students Association (DULSA) last month. The purpose of the event was to extend Myanmar youth’s business network through discussion, penetration and networking.

Lucy Wayne MBE, Managing Partner of Lucy Wayne & Associates Limited Lawyers was the keynote speaker at the event. She advised the students that the three keys to a successful career are education, preparation, and inspiration. Students at DULSA decided to host the event after noticing that university students have very little contact with the business community and that this was hurting their chances of becoming gainfully employed upon graduation. Aye Chan Moe, second year law student from Dagon University said, “I was afraid because I never had chatted with a foreigner in my life. This was the first time. But I was able to ask what I really wanted to know about the business community. They shared their working experience with me. I really like the conference and looking forward to holding this kind of seminar in future.”
