Vice President Myint Swe, the patron of the leading committee for hosting the 10th ASED, said at the meeting in Nay Pyi Taw,” We should be proud that we are getting a chance to host this meeting, just as we are promoting cooperation with South East Asian countries and partner countries to promote Myanmar’s education sector.”

Education ministers and senior officials from the ASEAN-member countries, education ministers from ASEAN’s dialogue partners: Korea, Japan, China, New Zealand, Russia, the United States, India and Australia, and officials from the ASEAN Secretariat will attend the 10th ASED. A 16-member leading committee for hosting the 10th ASED and related meetings was formed on June 20. To implement the tasks of the leading committee, the Secretariat and 11 working sub-committees would be built. The 1st ASED was held in Singapore in 2006.
