METRO Wholesale Myanmar, one of the country’s leading wholesale companies for food and non-food assortments, engaged with thousands of trade visitors at the sixth edition of Food & Hotel Myanmar (FHMM) 2019, held from 5 to 7 June at the Myanmar Expo, located in Fortune Plaza Yangon. As a lead exhibitor of the trade event, METRO drew representatives of hotels, restaurants and caterers as well as independent traders to its booth to showcase its diverse product range and innovative one-stop-shop solution that is unique to Myanmar. FHMM 2019 opened on June 5 with an opening ceremony attended by Hyacinthe Cloarec, Commercial Director of METRO Wholesale Myanmar.
AT FHMM 2019, METRO displayed a number of products from supplier partners including beverages, frozen foods, along with canned and dry goods. On each day, METRO hosted daily tasting sessions of wines from Chile, France and Argentina, METRO Own Brand products and imported meats. FHMM is the largest exhibition aimed at promoting Myanmar’s growing food, hospitality and tourism industries. During the exhibition, METRO team guided visitors through its efficient digital ordering platforms and delivery services. METRO offers customers across the country the ability to select from an assortment of more than 2,000 high quality food and non-food products, with delivery made to their doorstep. METRO supported FHMM 2019 activities such as the Myanmar Culinary Arts Competition by MCAC. In addition to providing surprise cooking items for the competition participants, METRO sponsored the prizes for the competition. Team Novotel Yangon Max won first prize (METRO Shopping Vouchers worth 500,000 Kyats) and second prize (METRO Shopping Vouchers worth 300,000 Kyats) and team Pun Hlaing Country Club in Pun Hlaing Golf Estate won third prize (METRO Shopping Vouchers worth 100,000 Kyats).
