The State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi and university students held a literature discussion in Yangon University Convocation Hall on August 28. This was a discussion with youth on literary fiction and how literary fiction can support people.
State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, Union Ministers Dr. Pe Myint, Dr. Myo Thein Gyi, Dr. Myint Htwe, Dr. Win Myat Aye and Nai Thet Lwin, Yangon Region Chief Minister Phyo Min Thein, region Hluttaw Speaker, Region Government Ministers, Rectors of universities and colleges in Yangon, teachers, students, youth organizations and youths attended to the discussion. State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi discussed on literary fiction with the students from University of East Yangon, Yangon University of Education, Yangon University of Medicine 1, Yangon University of Medicine 2, Yankin Education College, Yangon Technological University, Yangon Institute of Economics, Yangon University, Technological University of West Yangon, Institute of Information Technology, Dagon University, Yangon University of Medical Technology, National Management Degree College, Yangon West University, Yangon University of Foreign Languages.
At the discussion, the university students revealed their favorite books and exchange their opinions about the reading of books. It was the second time to meet and discuss with university students about the books as part of Round Table Literature Talk series to stress the value of reading toward youth. The previous literature discussion was held in Mandalay University on August 13.
