Yoma Strategic, the franchise partner of KFC in Myanmar, held a grand opening ceremony to celebrate the launch of Myanmar’s second KFC outlet at Junction Square Shopping Centre. The new restaurant is now open between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily. The restaurant is three-story building with a space for up to 240 people featuring a private function room.
The opening of KFC’s Junction Square comes as a part of KFC’s ongoing rollout KFC’s Second Outlet Opened across Yangon, which will see a third outlet open at the Myanmar Plaza on Kabar Aye Pagoda Road before the end of 2015.
“It has been four months since we opened the doors of the first-ever, global quick service restaurant franchise in Myanmar andwe would like to wholeheartedly thank the Myanmar public for their tremendous support during this period,” said JR Ching, Chief Financial Officer of Yoma Strategic, and Managing Director of KFC Myanmar. “KFC is a strategic pillar of Yoma’s consumer platform and we take a long-term view into this business. We are investing heavily to make KFC Myanmar successful and to position ourselves as a key player in Myanmar’s fast-expanding consumer and retail sectors,” he continued.
“It is our aim to make KFC part of the fabric of everyday life in Yangon and we are looking forward to welcoming all local residents, students from TTC school, or regular Junction Square shoppers to our beautiful new restaurant to enjoy KFC’s famous original recipe chicken,” said Honey Soe Nyein, restaurant manager for KFC Junction Square.
