The Vietnam-Myanmar Trade Service Tourism Fair 2017 (Ho Chi Minh City Expo 2017) was held at Tatmadaw Hall with nearly 120 booths of more than 80 Vietnamese Enterprises. This is the 6th Ho Chi Minh City Expo organized by the Investment and Trade Promotion Center of Ho Chi Minh City (ITPC) in Myanmar.
Vietnamese enterprises operating in many fields of processed food, household goods, electrical appliances, interior decorations, agricultural supplies, construction materials and industrial machinery directly introduced products to consumers and visitors at the Ho Chi Minh City Expo, while focusing on looking for local partners to establish distribution channels of Vietnam goods in the Myanmar market.
Besides the expo, ITPC held a seminar on “ Sharing market information and business – investment experiences in Myanmar”. The seminar provided an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to talk with Vietnamese commercial counselors in Myanmar, directly exchange experiences and learn from Vietnamese businesses investing in Myanmar.
The support from the Governments of Myanmar and the Yangon Region towards the Ho Chi Minh City Expo since 2012 has shown the determination of Vietnam and Myanmar to promote the bilateral trade. The Ho Chi Minh City Expo has brought the best goods produced by prestigious Vietnamese enterprises to the people of Myanmar. In comparison with the previous year, there is an increase in the number of exhibitors, many of which introduce their products to Myanmar for the first time.
