Government Promised to Help 7,100 Factory Workers to Get NRCs

The Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry promised to help 7,100 workers in 14 industrial zones in Yangon to get their national registration cards (NRCs), according to a senior executive of the federation.

Associate general secretary of the federation, Khine Khine New, said the federation will finish this project within two months.

“There are nearly 400,000 workers in 14 townships in Yangon. Among them, 7,100 workers do not have NRCs. We will get cards for them within two months,” said Khine Khine New. “With the full cooperation between employers and employees, it will be successfully finished,” she added.
