AVietnamese IT corporation, FPT has launched ERP (Enterprise Re- source Planning) implementation project for United Paints Group – UPG. The project launch event took place on 16th Jan- uary of 2015 in Yangon. FPT is to offer SAP A1 to UPG with modules in production, purchasing, stock balances, financial account- ing and reporting. The project is expected to be completed in seven months. SAP A1 will replace the outdated management system of UPG and it will help UPG in increasing production efficiency and business perfor- mance and reporting system. SAP is an ERP
software which offers customized solutions for 25 different industries.
FPT was chosen to implement SAP A1 for UPG after strict selection processes. FPT has extended its projects in 19 countries includ- ing its key market, Myanmar. FPT is trying to provide consultancy and deploying services of SAP A1 in Myanmar and has set its goal reach a sale of US$ 3 million from this sector in 2015. Its Myanmar branch, FPT Myanmar has celebrated the grand opening which was attended by Deputy Minister of Communication & Information Technolo- gy of Myanmar H.E U Thaung Tin, Deputy Minister of Information and Communi- cations of Vietnam H.E Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong and Vietnamese Ambassador H.E Mr. Pham Thanh Dung.
At the ceremony, FPT Corporation Chair- man Mr. Truong Gia Binh said they were focusing on contributing ICT development in Myanmar, cooperating with Myanmar’s governmental agencies and IT associations to develop the country’s software industry and creating more job opportunities for Myanmar through software outsourcing, systems integration, IT training, enterprise management and consultancy services.
FPT being a Vietnamese IT corporation and established in 1988, it has businesses in 19 countries and FPT Myanmar was officially licensed to operate in July 2013.
