EuroCham Myanmar officially launched its first Business Support Guides on November 16. The European Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar invited all EU member state representatives, EU companies and chambers, as well as its trade promotion partners from UMFCCI and DICA and many more for the occasion. Following the opening remarks by H.E. Dr. Roland Kobia (EU Ambassador), Filip Lauwerysen (Executive Director EuroCham Myanmar) presented the new Business Guide and five sectoral papers (on agriculture, consumer goods, energy, health and manufacturing), which provide entry-level information to European companies planning to invest in Myanmar. EuroCham Myanmar also hosted a panel discussion on the new investment law with Aung Naing Oo (Director General of DICA) and Philipp Dupuis (Head of the Economic and Trade Section of the EU delegation).
