Dive Center in Ngwe Saung Opens its Doors

A new dive center ”Myanmar Dive Center” opened its doors and held launch eremony at Royal Flower restaurant on December 5. The ceremony was attended by general managers and other events managers from all major hotels in Ngwe Saung hotel zone. The dive center is located at hotel Sunny Paradise hotel and is ready to serve local and international dive enthusiasts. The new Myanmar Dive Center (MDC) is working together with the hotels in Ngwe Saung, offering their customers a unique diving experience and a pool training for beginners. The Myanmar Underwater Federation (MUF) is happy to see the diving sport in Myanmar taking off with this important new facility and the discovery of high quality dive sites. MDC is the new hotspot for divers in Myanmar, offering dive and snorkeling trips, scuba course and equipment rental. Ngwe Saung beach is within five hours drive from Yangon.

Myanmar National Airlines Added New International Route

State-owned carrier Myanmar National Airlines (MNA), formerly Myanma Airways, started its second international service to Hong Kong in December. It is its second international route, using the newly acquired Boeing 737-800 aircraft. From December 4, the airline will operate Yangon – Hong Kong – Yangon service, four times a week. MNA has launched its Yangon-Singapore service, the airline’s first international route in 22 years, last August.

IKBZ Wins Two Global Insurance Awards

IKBZ has won two awards: Best Life Insurance Company in Myanmar 2015 and Best General Insurance Company in Myanmar 2015, titles awarded by The World Finance Group, a London-based organization. The ceremony has held at London Stock Exchange on December 4. According to the World Finance Group, IKBZ’s quick expansion of branches throughout the country over the past three years merited Myanmar’s first private insurance company these two awards. IKBZ is Myanmar first private insurance firm and started its insurance operation in September 2012. The insurance company aims to provide effective and quick services for its clients and has already secured 35 per cent of the insurance market in the country. It currently has fourteen branches across the country.

PARKROYAL’s “Christmas Tree Light up Event’

PARKROYAL has celebrated “Christmas Tree Light up Event” held in main lobby followed by a classic Christmas dinner in Yadana grand ballroom on December 9. After the General Manager delivered the opening speech, the invitees are entrained with traditional dances during the Christmas dinner.
