A group of Myanmar urban development officials will attend the Urbanisation for Developing Countries Forum to be held in China, according to Kyaw Zeya, a member from the Mandalay City Development Committee (MCDC).
Four Myanmar representatives from the MCDC, the Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC), the Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee and the Ministry of Construction will attend the event to present the development undertakings of the major cities of Myanmar.
The forum, which also includes the presentation of urban development scenarios of the cities from the developed countries, starts from July 30 and will run three weeks. Discussions are planned to take place in selected Chinese cities, taking three days in each city.
The Myanmar delegation will present the increased number of high-rises and development projects of their respective cities, said Kyaw Zeya. It will be beneficial to Myanmar town planners to know the currently implementing projects of the developed countries, he continued.
