EOS 7D Mark II and Power shot SX series

Why are cameras so popular nowadays? The answer is very simple – people would like to save and share the photos of happy, sad, pleasant moments be it lifetime events or anniversaries with their friends, family and relatives. I am sure that all of you own at least a camera, at least a phone camera. However, different cameras have different qualities such as resolutions, hues, and ISOs etc. If you are a professional photog- rapher or enthusiast in photography, which brands would you consider buying? As for me, I will choose between Canon and Nikon.

Canon is a Japanese multinational corporation specialized in the manufacture of imaging and optical products. The name Canon, means “holy scripture” and “criterion or standard of judgment.” People familiar with current Canon’s logo, with its vivid red color. However, the design of logo underwent in many forms of change before becoming the present form. When Precision Optical Instruments Laboratory was established in 1933, the name given to cam- eras manufactured on a trial basis at the time was Kwanon, the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, and embodied the Company’s vision of creating the best cameras in the world. The logo expressed the image of Kwanon with 1,000 Arms and flames. The

current logo was perfected in 1955 and it has remained unchanged for nearly half of a century.

The marketing slogan of Canon is “Delighting You Always”.“De-”

denotes removal or reversal so De-light- ing means removal of light which means no Speed lite flash is needed. Because its high ISO performance is so brilliantly (pun intended) implemented, Canon “reverse” engineered light into your pictures without use of flash. Hence “Delighting You Always” remains true to its slogan according to the expression of Shim world web page in 2009. Digital cameras has manufactured and dis- tributed by Canon since 1984. Canon also developed the EOS series of Digital Sin- gle-Lens Reflex cameras (DSLR) which includes high-end professional models.

Among many mod- els, I want to intro- duce you to EOS 7D Mark II and Power shot SX series.
